Shadilver~ Fighting back ch. 3

Silver!! "Dr. Why are you showing me this?" Shadow asked, looking at Eggman with confused/puzzled red eyes. "Did you think I forgot how Silver died before? I couldn't have forgotten... I never would have forgot about Silver! I know how he died, and what his final words were!"
The doctor gazed at Shadow, "The thing is, Once I heard about this happening 3 years ago, I got straight to work on my newest experiment." He explained with dignity. Shadow was copletely confused, what experiment was Eggman talking about? Wait... Did Eggman mean... he had been trying to bring back Silver all these past 3 years!? "What experiment are you speaking of, Eggman?" Shadow asked, and looked into Eggman's eyes, " I have to know!" he spoke determinedly. Shadow just had to know if this evil, well, used to be evil, doctor had been trying to bring back Silver this whole time!
"About bringing back your little friend," Eggman responded, smiling at Shadow. "I'll show you..." He led Shadow back to the tube with tealish-colored liquid they had seen before. When Shadow looked more closely into it, he saw... Silver! He was just floating in there, his eyes were closed, and he wasn't moving at all. "I've been trying to bring Silver back for quite a few years now," Eggman explained, "And he's almost ready to be released, so I decided this would be the best time to tell you about it... to get you ready for his arrival back."
Shadow's heart beated quicker then ever before, he would be able to see Silver again! This had to be the best day of his life... maybe waiting those 3 painful years was really worth it. "Are you letting him out now?" Shadow asked quickly. He was too ready to see Silver again, he was so happy and excited... it was really a bother that Eggman wasn't completely ready yet... "Just another few days," Eggman replied quietly, "Then I'll let him out--" A beeping noise came from the computer. The long-legged man walked over to it, and clicked the small message on the screen. A voice spoke, " Silver the hedgehog restored, and ready to be released." Eggman nodded his thanks, and hit a red button, "Stand back Shadow," He instructed.
Shadow covered his eyes at the blinding light, as Silver was released from the tube, he took his first big breath, and gasped. Then he opened his amber eyes, and picked himself up off the floor. Shadow couldn't believe what he was seeing... it was like his eyes were going to pop out of his head... "Silver? Is it r-really you?" Shadow took a step forward towards the white hedgehog. Silver looked back at him, and his first words were... "Who are you?"
